Family New Year's Eve: Noise Makers

As promised, I'm showing you a cute and simple craft you can make for your Family New Year's Eve celebration: noise makers!
Family New Year's Eve: Noise Makers
Earlier this week I told you about the fun we had at our family New Year's Eve. Today, I'm going to give you a tutorial on a simple craft you can make to add to your family fun on New Year's Eve.

Family New Year's Eve: Noise Makers
Supplies:
Empty ribbon spools
Scrapbook paper
Beans and/or rice
Ribbon
Adhesive

Family New Year's Eve: Noise Makers
First, trace the empty spool of ribbon onto the scrapbook paper. Cut the circles out. Next, adhere your ribbon to one side of the empty spool of ribbon.

After adhering the ribbon to one side of the empty spool, adhere the circle of scrapbook paper to that same side.

Family New Year's Eve: Noise Makers
Flip your empty spool over. Fill with beans and/or rice.

Your last step is to adhere the ribbon, then scrapbook paper to the final side of your ribbon spool.

Easy peasy, you are done!

Happy New Year's to you and your family! I hope you have a fantastic and fun New Year's Eve and 2013!

    1. Oh...well, if you are like me, you will have new empty spools in no time! I saved mine throughout the year and had plenty, even threw a few away.

  13. These are ingenious and a great recycled project! I would love for you to come link up at my new weekly linky party Thrifty to Nifty Thursdays at A Jennuine Life. I'm working with a couple of bigger bloggers to feature great projects, so I'm hoping to bring fabulous exposure for participants! http://ajennuinelife.blogspot.com/2013/01/thrifty-to-nifty-thursdays-1.html

  14. Such a cute idea and so fast and easy to make!
I love that you used empty ribbon spools.
I am one of those "hoarder" type people who hates to throw anything away if I can make it useful and this is one of those projects that is "trash to treasure" for me!
    Thank-you for the inspiration!
I found you from Link-up Tuesday at Sarah Hamer Designs!
