I thought I would start this Training Tuesday with a tip for you.
This may sound gross to talk about, but let’s just be real. Running is a sweaty sport. Just wait until you hear your five year old daughter discussing how sweaty you are when you come home from running with one of her friends….lovely conversation to realize just how yucky I must be when I get home. Hopefully the little girl didn’t repeat the conversation to her mom. How embarrassing!
Anyway, I wanted to tell you something that has really been helping me this year. I was really struggling with running in the heat and humidity here earlier this summer. I tried wearing a visor, thinking that it might help me a little bit. I’m not sure it helped in terms of helping me feel any cooler. What I love about wearing a visor is the fact that it helps keep a bunch of the sweat off my face and out of my eyes. See, I told you this would be a lovely conversation. If you haven’t ever run with a visor or a hat, I highly recommend you give it a try. It works really well in helping keeping your face a bit less sweaty and such while you are out there running. Good thing if you ask me. If you ask my daughter, I’m just dripping in sweat any which way and it doesn’t really matter. 😉
This week, I tried to get a run in on a day Mr. T was at work. It had been raining earlier that morning and I couldn’t run before he left. I thought it would work to go for a run while both my girls were riding their bikes.
Below you can see how it went for me(and you can see my visor):
Happy running to you!
