I know this is a busy time of year. I also know that it is a time of year for more parties and entertaining. I love when I can make a meal that tastes amazing, but also just goes in the oven and does its thing and I can take care of what I need to without needing to fuss over the meal. This herb baked chicken recipe is just like that.
I’ve made this chicken recipe many times over the years. I love that I spend a few minutes doing the prep work at the beginning and then just let the chicken cook while I can take care of other things or if I have guests, I can enjoy spending time with them rather than being at the stove cooking.
Not only is this chicken recipe really easy, it is SO delicious!
To make the chicken, you will heat up a large pot or Dutch oven in your oven while you do the prep work.
You will cut slashes in the chicken breast as well as the legs and slather herb butter all over the chicken, including in those slashes.
Then you carefully pop the chicken in that hot pot and let it cook. You’ll love the smell of herb chicken roasting!
Even more, you will love the taste of this juicy and flavorful chicken. It looks pretty when you pull it out of the oven, so if you want a pretty presentation, that is easy as well. I love serving this chicken recipe with some delicious Parmesan and garlic roast cauliflower. They both cook at the same temperature in the oven, so it makes it really easy to make them together. I will have that recipe for you in a couple of weeks. Yum!
