Meow…Cute Happy Birthday Card

One of my sweet nieces recently had a birthday. She was turning 9 years old. Of course, I wanted to make a fun card for her birthday.

She loves her cat, who plays in her room most nights while she sleeps. I came up with the idea to make her a cute cat birthday card. I think the result is a very cute card perfect for my niece.

My niece’s cat is black and white. I used the Cricut Alphabet cartridge that was pre-loaded on my Cricut Expression 2to make the cat and all its layers. I added the baker’s twine bow just for a cute girly touch to the card.

For the inside of the card, I used my Creative Memories This and That cartridge(which has apparently already been discontinued…boo!). I cut out both the flowers and the wishes from that cartridge.
The ‘wishes’ portion, I used the negative image rather than gluing down each letter. I simply backed it with a solid color paper so the word would pop.
That’s it! Easy and cute!
Happy Birthday to my sweet niece!

Super cute card! Give me inspiration for my Bean’s next card, since she is obsessed with our cat. did you draw the cat shape free hand? It’s a really adorable little cat.

Thank you! Haha…if you have ever seen me free hand cut anything, it looks like a Kindergartner cut it….nope, I used my cricut. Much better than me. 😉
