Read my other Rapunzel Birthday Party Posts:
My sweet little Pumpkin recently had a birthday. She turned 5 years old! We celebrated in style for her birthday party. She decided she would really like a Rapunzel/Tangled themed party this year. So, it was my turn to search the internet for cute ideas and put together a fun party for a group of 5 year olds!
In my searching, I discovered many great ideas, and I will show you those below and detail some further on another day. However, I want to just put in a quick plug for my new favorite website. If you are not familiar with pinterest…you need to be. http://pinterest.com/ It is a fantastic site that allows you to ‘pin' sites that you find to your boards. Then you can find all those cute ideas or pages you wanted to come back to later for one reason or another. You can easily see them in picture form. It saves you from having to put them all in your favorites and having a mile long favorites list. Also, you can organize your pins by categories. You can also search other people's board for ideas. I love the site and found it soo very helpful in planning this party.
Back to the party, the first thing I needed to do was find some kind of cute invitation. I couldn't find any Rapunzel invitations locally and I just didn't want to pay shipping for invitations. So, I found these invites online at Super Mom Moments – Rapunzel Invitation
They are so cute.
Fox Run Sun Cookie Cutter
This one, on Amazon, is way better than the one we found, but I refuse to pay shipping for things and I didn't need anything else to get to the free shipping.
We let the girls spread the frosting on and then they got to sprinkle to their hearts content. They really enjoyed this activity and loved that they got to take their cookies home. We put their 2 cookies into little treat bags and sent them home with them rather than having them eat them at the party (since there would be cake). Here are a couple of the cookies that were made:
I had them use some plastic containers we had to help contain the sprinkle mess. I really thought that they wouldn't follow this request to put the cookie in the container and sprinkle in the container, but they did and they did great with it!
|Me and all those cute girls. I am holding the tower still while the girls throw bean bags.
The tower was hung up to the top of the door frame with a ‘hidden' nail and string.
|Pumpkin, now Rapunzel!|
|All those cute Rapunzel's!|
|This is not my cake, but the cake from the site linked above.|
|I braided the hair to help contain it and so it
wouldn't end up on the cake, because that would be yucky!
|Yummy and Pretty, too!|
