Are you ready for it? Summer?! It is coming or may have already come for you and your family. To that end, I want to introduce you to a new summer series I will be hosting this summer.
Now I know we are all busy regardless of what time of year it is, so I have made sure that the activities won't take you a lot of time to prep and that they won't cost you a ton of money either. They will also be FUN! What could be better than some fun with your kids? Nothing!
Almost every post I will be sharing with you in June will be something that you can do with your kids or something you can make for them (which will then keep them occupied with something new).
I have tons of ideas for you!
My goal is to make this summer a Real Summer of Fun for you and your kids. So, here is what you can do now, to make things easy for yourself. Pin this post to your summer fun board. I will add a picture and link to each new activity or idea into this post. Just check back on this post and the ideas will keep pouring in. You can also receive my free email in your inbox which will contain each and every idea as well. Either way, join in and have some fun this summer.
Don't forget to share what your summer fun and your ideas on social media, use the hashtag #RealSummerFun. That way we can all see the fun being had. Feel free to post new ideas and use the #RealSummerFun hashtag as well. The more great ideas the merrier the summer.
Our First idea is one that you can use to create a boredom buster board. Make this board (or a similar board) and fill the tins with ideas for the whole summer. No need to be bored or lack ideas with your kids this summer.
You will want some fun ideas to put into your summer activities board. I've got you covered. Just print out these cute ideas and pop them in the tins and you are good to go.
Next Up is a fun craft that you can do together with your kids and have some cute decorations for the 4th of July.
Another fun craft idea for you and your kids from We Know Stuff.
Next up, how about some fun in the kitchen together. My girls and I love cooking together, especially when it is a delicious Starbucks recipe!
What could be better than making cold treats on a hot summer day? Nothing! Alison from Life a Little Better has a yummy recipe to make Nutella Frosty's. Yum!
How about making some delicious cheese crackers? So yummy and fun to make.
Now my friend Kat who blogs at Confessions of the Perfect Mom has a few great ideas for you for some summer fun with chalk.
My friend Rachel blogs at Architecture of a Mom shares a fun craft we can all enjoy making.
Jessa, who blogs at Sparkle Living Blog, has a fun Bastille Day craft that uses mixed media art techniques. We are totally trying this, but I think we are going to make ours 4th of July. Fun!
A great first sewing project is something that is fun to the kids and simple. These small pillows can be made any size to match whatever size stuffed animal or doll your child loves.
How about making some cute bean bag chairs for your dolls or Beanie Boos. Cuteness!
Not everything has to be done with the kids, sometimes I like to make them a little something new that they will enjoy playing with over the summer. Like the mattresses I made for our doll bunk beds. Something fresh (and not expensive), new and fun to play with.
You and your kids can have some fun making reversible sheets. We used our for our doll beds, but they could easily be used as sheets or blankets for a stuffed animal or other cuddly creature.
Here's to a Real Summer of Fun!
