Do you enjoy making homemade gifts? I sure do. I love finding the right thing for the right person. I also love saving money over what it would cost me to buy the same item. To me, personalized gifts are such a fun touch to both give and receive. Don't you just love getting something with your name, initial or monogram on it? I've got a tutorial for you on making personalized beer glasses. Perfect for the beer lover in your life and perfect for the upcoming holiday gift giving season.
I love they way they turned out and I figured some things out along the way, so you get the benefit! I think with the tips I have for you, you can tackle this project and it won't take 4 hours. Fingers crossed for you! No really, my tips should help you be able to make these into a do-able project and gift.
- Glasses (Theseare very similar to the glasses I got at Target)
- Contact paper
- Glass etching cream
- Scissors or paper cutter
In the end, these glasses took me forever to make! The round shape of the glasses made it so challenging to get the stencil on the glass correctly. Once I finally came up with the method I showed you in this tutorial, things went much more smoothly.
I love the etched circle at the top of the glasses. It just adds a little more than the plain monogram, which I really like. To me, it makes them look less homemade and more store bought. If you are making these as homemade gifts, make sure you let the person you are giving the glasses to know that they are fully dishwasher safe. Love that!
Have you ever made a gift that you loved the end result but the path to get there was a lot harder then you thought it would be?
